Wildlife

The estate provides a protected environment for wildlife.  Many different species of small game such as dik dik, duiker, bush buck, bush pig, jackal, African serval, civet and genet cats already live in the bush surrounding the golf course.  Birdlife includes numerous species of bulbuls, weavers, bee-eaters, sunbirds, wagtails, shrikes, mousebirds, plovers, guineafowl and hornbills.

Larger mammal species, including eland, kudu, Grant’s gazelle, Thompson’s gazelle, gerenuk, wildebeest and zebra, will be transferred from other sections of the estate as soon as the golf course has been completed, whilst the ongoing development of water features is expected to attract more small mammals and birds.
